Solution will Be Made to Resolve Congestion at Jalan Yos Sudarso

North Jakarta Administration is looking to make a solution by analyzing the cause of traffic congestion at Jalan Yos Sudarso. It is purposed to create a sense of comfortable for the passing vehicle in the location.

The solution is U-Turn in Sunter near Makodim 0502/JU will be widened

North Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Head, Benhard Hutajulu said, based on the field analysis results, congestion at Jalan Yos Sudarso is triggered by some factors.

First, traffic from Cawang towards Tanjung Priok is more due to the narrowing of roads at the intersection of Sunter. Congestion is worsened by the construction of toll road and LRT on Jalan Boulevard Raya, Kelapa Gading.

"The solution is U-Turn in Sunter near Makodim 0502/JU will be widened. Thus the vehicle that will pass there can go faster," he stated, Thursday (10/12).

Second, traffic from Tanjung Priok towards Cawang, congestion is triggered by a MCB concrete as the barrier of Tansjakarta corridor in front of North Jakarta Resort Police Headquarter. There is a proposal where the concrete must be moved or deleted until Plumpang.

"The concrete function is to help sterilization of Transjakarta corridor. I guess it doesn't need to be moved until Plumpang, but just at Tanjung Priok toll gate," he stated.

And the last is the large number of the passing trailer and container trucks on the eastern side of Jalan Yos Sudarso. So it also triggered the congestion, when the heavy vehicle is out and incoming to the pool.

"Especially for trailer and container truck pool, will be discussed deeply next week. It will involve PTSP and other related units, whether those trucks are still operated or not," he closed.
