Provost and Garnisum Will Secure Monas Authority

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, said Jakarta Provincial Government immediately coordinates with National Army of Indonesia (TNI) related to Yusri (40) who was allegedly burned by TNI member in Monas. The coordination is conducted to avoid similar incident.

“We have summoned Provost and Garnisun and they willing to go down for maintain security and make patrol at six gates,” said Basuki at City Hall, Wednesday (6/25).

Nevertheless, the former regent of Belitung Timur won’t make allegation about the suspect of combustion which allegedly done by a member of TNI. “We do not know, but the report said so,” he added.

Dishub: Parking Attendant Burned in Monas is Illegal Official

Meanwhile Head of Jakarta Transportation Department Parking Management Unit, Sunardi Sinaga admitted that he received report related of the incident. But he cannot give further comment, because the parking man is unofficial aka illegal.

“I have received report on that case. The main point is that he (Yusri) was not our parking official parking attendant,” stated Sinaga.

Sinaga assessed the incident related to thuggery action, which is difficult to be avoided in the field.

This case is now being investigated by the police who have questioned some witnesses. As for Yusri, he is now under intensive care in Tarakan Hospital, Central Jakarta.
