New Water Channels will Be Built in Malaka Sari

Remaining debris from illegal building demolition on Jalan Teratai Putih III, RW 04, Pasar Becek Perumnas Klender, Malaka Sari Duren Sawit, are cleaned by East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. 

Two days ahead, we will make new channels along 500 meters in both sides which previously covered by illegal buildings

Water channels are planned will be built in that sterilized land.

"Two days ahead, we will make new channels along 500 meters in both sides which previously covered by illegal buildings," said Mustajab, Head of SDA Sub-dept., Wednesday (10/25).

According to him, his side gets assistance from East Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. to clean building materials. Currently his side has deployed two heavy equipments to clean debris on the location. 

"In accordance with mayor instruction, we will refunction channel before road and sidewalk are built," he said.

Meanwhile, East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana asked SDA Sub-dept. to deploy more heavy equipments thus water channel could be built soon.

"Because this is rainy season, we need to work fast. We will deploy all existing heavy equipments immediately," he affirmed.

For information, that location was occupied by 347 street vendors and 74 semi-permanent illegal buildings.
