E. Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Ready to Make Channel in Cipayung

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. revealed that they are ready to develop a water channel in the residential, RT 06/03, Cilangkap, Cipayung that was inundated after rain poured the area on Monday (10/23).

Before that, local people were asked to propose the development of the channel through the local urban village apparatus to be immediately followed up.

Five Connecting Channels in East Jakarta Dredged

"We're ready to help, as long as there is request of regional head. Later on, we make the channel if it's not exist," expressed Mustajab, Head of East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept., Tuesday (10/24).

To minimize inundation, his sub-dept. is still focused on dredging at the connecting channel of Setu Indah Cilangkap Residence.

"Additionally, there are more four channels being dredged to face the upcoming rainy season," he stated.

Those four channels are Irigasi Bekasi Tengah in Cakung Barat, Rawa Bunga, at Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai and Jalan Teratai Putih Utara with 600 meters length.

As for the information, when rain occurred yesterday, inundation as high as 30 centimeters has submerged the residential at RT 06/03, Cilangkap, Cipayung, East Jakarta. It is due to lack of channels.
