Fery Farhati Appointed as Chairwoman of Jakarta TP-PKK

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, Thursday (10/26), appointed Fery Farhati as Chairwoman of Jakarta Family Welfare Movement Team (TP-PKK) and Nur Asia as Chairwoman of Jakarta Women's Organizations Cooperation Body (BKOW) period 2017-2022.

We want people activities, especially those based on women's organizations, to move forward in Jakarta

Fery Farhati and Nur Asia were appointed after inauguration process against Erni Guntarti Tjahjo Kumolo, Chairwoman of Center TP-PKK at Jakarta City Hall.

In his speech, Anies said, PKK program is line with a commitment to make Jakarta a happy city. Therefore, Jakarta Provincial Government will encourage and facilitate the plan that will be made by new board, such as volunteer training, work program, and financial aid.

"We see the importance of the family as the smallest unit, where the atmosphere of happiness arises because basic needs are met. And also as a pillar of the family, these mothers can do its role well," he uttered.

Similarly with BKOW, he hopes to encourage various women's organizations in Jakarta to be an example for other regions.

"We want people activities, especially those based on women's organizations, to move forward in Jakarta," he closed.
