Muara Angke Planned to Have Two International Standardized Ports

City Council's Special Committee (Pansus) for Muara Angke Port Arrangement plans to make two ports in Muara Angke, Penjaringan, North Jakarta into international standardized ports.
Besides fishing port, we will also make international standardized cargo port and ferry port
Those ports are fishing port owned by Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity Dept. and ferry port managed by Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub).
Muara Angke Port Arrangement Proposed with TOD Concept"Besides fishing port, we will also make international standardized cargo port and ferry port," said Ferrial Sofyan, Head of City Council's Pansus for Muara Angke Port Arrangement, Thursday (10/26).
He explained, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) will make fishing port revitalization concept. Later on, the anchoring pool and pier located on port will be arranged with high standard.
"We will support fully," he expressed.
Meanwhile for ferry port and cargo port, he continued, it is needed to widen pier from three hectares into five hectares.
"Recently, Muara Angke does not have enough capacity. Moreover in weekend. Ferry port is crowded
by thousands of passengers," he closed.
