Sandi Encourages Privileged People to Pay ZIS

ZIS is very useful to help privileged people

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno invites privileged people to pay zakat, infaq and shadaqah (ZIS) payments.

According to him, entrepreneurs, communities, professional families and employees need to be motivated to intensify the fulfillment of ZIS in an elaborated synergy by Jakarta Muslim Charitable Donations Board (Bazis).

Sandi Officially Meets Minister of Public Works and Public Housing

"ZIS is very useful to help privileged people," he stated, when he symbolically handed over aid to mustahiq (the recipient) of South Jakarta Bazis, at the local mayor office, Tuesday (10/31).

He appreciates the muzakki (alms givers) who have contributed in improving the ZIS collection in South Jakarta. Thus, it can provide maximum benefits to the people.

"We appreciate the muzakki such as employees, residents, and business world. We want more muzakki participating through BAZIS," he stated.

He hoped people to compete to pay ZIS. It is because the good must inevitably receive a multiplication from Allah S.W.T.

"To the mustahiq, make the most of this help. The utilization of ZIS must also be truly effective, right on target, and efficient in improving self-reliance," he stated.

As for the information, today, South Jakarta BAZIS has injected ZIS fund worth Rp 4,217,000,000. The aid itself is given to the mustahiq for bedah rumah program (house renovation), 11 religious institutions, and 417 mustahiq who are honorary madrasah (Islamic school) teachers, TPA teachers, and marbots (mosque caretakers).
