Sandi Wants Manpower Dept. to Finish KHL Survey

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno instructed Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Dept. to soon finish the basic cost of living (KHL) survey. It is because KHL will become a reference in setting this year's Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP).

We focus on bringing about a fair decision-making process for UMP

Ideally, he disclosed, KHL survey is supposed to be done throughout the year. However, since previously not yet done, the dept. was asked to use the existing method.

"We focus on bringing about a fair decision-making process for UMP," he stated, after he welcomed Jakarta Wage Council, at Jakarta City Hall, Thursday (10/26).

Disnakertrans Targets to Finish UMP Enactment on November 1

According to him, the remaining time that leaves a few days ahead of the determination of the UMP dated on November 1, 2017 should be used as well as possible. Despite the new survey is done, it is not expected to be a bottleneck.

"I am sure, on October 3, it is a target that we are working on according to the regulation that we have to decide, we want to be on time, all have to work optimally to bring the certainty itself," he explained.

He added, the next year's survey should be able to know the KHL movement throughout the year. Because KHL in Jakarta is more increasing.

"This is now being discussed. On October 31, I will give a note to the Governor to decide the UMP," he closed.
