Jakarta's 2018 UMP will Be Set Today

The 2018 Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) in Jakarta will be set on November 1.

The proposed value of 2018 UMP itself has been submitted to Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan.

Sandi Wants Manpower Dept. to Finish KHL Survey

Jakarta Manpower and Transmigration Dept. Head, Priyono disclosed there are two nominal submitted to the governor.

The first nominal proposed by the workers is Rp 3,917,393. And from the government and entrepreneurs, have proposed Rp 3.6 million. 

"We'll set it today," he expressed, at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday (10/31). 

He explained the proposed nominal from government and entrepreneurs in accordance with Government Regulation No. 78/2015 on Wages.

"We have the formulation from the regulation, that is this year's UMP is multiplied by economic growth and national inflation," he told.

He assessed, the nominal proposed by workers is based on the survey of basic cost of living (KHL). Earlier, KHL survey that has been set together was Rp 3.1 million.

But from worker elements, wanted the survey nominal from three components to be revised. Those three components are transportation, rental house, and electricity.

"After being revised, the nominal has increased Rp 3.6 for KHL. It's according to their request," he closed.
