6 Tons of Rice Harvested From Ujung Menteng Cultivation

Today, Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. has harvested Ciherang Superior Variety of Rice at Ujung Menteng Cultivation, Jalan Tambun Rengas, RT 02/06, Ujung Menteng, Cakung, East Jakarta.

After being harvested, it will be certified and given a label. Next, the seed will be distributed to communities

More than six tons of dried rice grains were harvested on that 1.7 hectares land.

"This rice variety is the most favorite. After being harvested, it will be certified and given a label. Next, the seed will be distributed to communities," said Ali Nurdin, Head Unit of Jakarta KPKP Dept.'s Seed Development Center and Plant Protection, Wednesday (11/1).

He encourages people who have paddy fields in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and North Jakarta to ask for seeds to his subordinates.

"Current result is higher than the last which was only around five tons," he expressed.
