City Processing Urban Farming Grand Design

Jakarta Provincial Government held meeting to hear opinions from students, public, and communities representatives regarding urban farming grand design making. Related BUMDs and SKPDs were also involved in this meeting.

This design could help government in realizing food resilience in Jakarta

This meeting was attended by more than 100 people. Oswar Muadzin, Jakarta Deputy Governor for Spatial Planning and Environment, asked for participants' opinions.

"This design could help government in realizing food resilience in Jakarta. This will accommodate urban farming important components," he said at Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. Building in Central Jakarta, Wednesday (11/1).

"All SKPDs are involved. For example Diskominfotik could campaign this program to public, while coaching is from KUKMP Dept. and vegetables sales could be managed by PD. Pasar Jaya. I hope its mechanism could be realized this year," he said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta KPKP Dept. Agriculture Division Head, Diah Meidiante hopes entrepreneurship will be growing with various innovations in agriculture field.

"With this grand design, people could be more focus and gain more experience from managing the seeds until marketing it. Also about things should be done, who will did it, and how to did that," he closed.
