N. Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Intensifies Drainage Dredging

North Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. intensifies dredging on drainage that prone to inundation, especially in heavy rain.

We done it to all sub-district areas

Dredging is done gradually in all six sub-districts every week.

North Jakarta SDA Sub-dept.'s Maintenance Section Head, Abu Bakar said, drainage on Jl. Pegangsaan Dua (Kelapa Gading) and Jl. Raya Tugu (Cilincing) has been dredged. His side deployed 235 personnel to dredge.

Second Phase Dredging of Betik River Begins

"Our personnel are from sub-department and each sub-districts. We done it to all sub-district areas," he said, Monday (11/6).

He explained, drainage dredging on Jl. Pegangsaan Dua is done 2.5 kilometers from Tugu Stadium to Kelapa Hibryda Traffic Light to prevent inundation in front of Greenhill Apartment.

Meanwhile on Jl. Raya Tugu is done around 2 kilometers from Tugu Church until Semper Intersection to prevent inundation around Tugu Market.

"Dredging is done depend on our observations or resident's complaints. Hopefully we could finish it in a month." he closed.
