Echelon II Reshuffle Awaits for Presidential Election

Acting Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, asserted after the President-Vice President Election on July 9, there will be a reshuffle in the structure of the echelon II in the city government. A number of officials to be replaced are the Financial Management Board (BPKD), Department of Public Works and a number of other agency heads.

The problem is the finding of the Department of Public Works, the head of this department could also be replaced

"BPKD has not been changed. If I replace, I must write a letter to Minister of Home Affairs. I have to wait until July 9, whoever the winner is whether number one or two. If number two lose, I do not have to switch, wait for the boss to go home," Basuki at City Hall on Friday (6/27).

Basuki said the reshuffle of echelon II is not only for the city BPKD head only, but a number of other agency heads, such as Head of Public Works and Housing Dept.

DPRD to Follow Up BPK’s Findings

"The problem is the finding of the Department of Public Works, the head of this department could also be replaced. The Housing Department if they work carelessly, they can be replaced as well. If they cannot work on the debit system of DKI Bank, then they will be replaced," Basuki added.
