Council Wants 500 Schools Renovation Accommodated in KUA-PPAS 2018

City Council Commission E wants 500 school buildings renovation could be prioritized in APBD Public Policy and Priority of Temporary Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) 2018.

Commission E Chairman, Syahrial said, local government should prepares facilities to enhance teaching and learning activities (KBM). One of them is to renovate 500 school buildings in Jakarta.

"Almost 500 schools in Jakarta need to be renovated," he said at City Council Building, Monday (11/13).

School Renovation must Be Coupled with Furniture Procurement

According to him, those schools don't have proper budget allocation in every City Budget ratification. Thus his side wants the school renovations could be accommodated in KUA-PPAS 2018.

"I also ask Local Government Budgeting (PAD) team to renovate the school together with furniture procurement," he added.

He continued, coordination between SKPDs and Jakarta Planning and Development Board (Bappeda) is needed to realize it.

"I think good coordination is needed since budgeting decision is on Bappeda," he closed.
