34-minute Trip Time will Be Applied For Asian Games Athletes

Jakarta Transportation Dept. is going to apply travel time trial of the Asian Games athletes ranging from lodging to venue as stipulated.

The trial itself has been done once from Kemayoran Athlete Village until GBK with a 34-minute trip time.

Sandi Wants Preparation of Asian Games to Be Maximized

Jakarta Transportation Dept. Head, Andri Yansyah said it has been applied since September 27 by using lower-deck Transjakarta bus escorted by four voorijder.

"We do trial on Wednesday morning at 7 AM. The result is still 34 minutes from Kemletoran Athletes Guesthouse to GBK. Perhaps we want to simulate again," he expressed, Tuesday (11/14).

His dept. will set travel time to be in accordance with the provisions of the Indonesia Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC). One of the efforts made is by coordinating with various related parties.

"Yesterday, there has been no cooperation with Jasa Marga. Maybe it will be done tomorrow, I hope so," he told.

Based on the trial results, there are several congestion-prone areas from Kemayoran to GBK stadium, especially in Semanggi area. He plans to prepare a special lane by making a road layer for the athlete's vehicle flow to the venue.

"Next year, it also has prepared a budget for the construction of road markings and the addition of traffic signs," he stated.
