A Helmet Factory Burned, Killed One

We had difficulties to put out fire due to many flammable materials inside the building, like plastic. The cause of the fire is allegedly triggered by electricity short-circuit

Fire gutted a helmet factory on Jalan Prepedan Dalam, RT 08/09, Kalideres Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-District, West Jakarta, around 9 AM. The fire killed a factory employee, Kusnadi (30) and wounded three other employees named Rino (25), Sinyo (20), and Riyan (20) thus they immediately rushed to the Cengkareng General Hospital (RSUD).

Head of Operational Division for West Jakarta Fire and Disaster Handling Sub-Department, Abdul Wahid disclosed as many as 22 fire trucks were deployed to put out the flames at the scene. The extinguishing took almost two hours. 

Fire Destroys Garment Business Building

"We had difficulties to put out fire due to many flammable materials inside the building, like plastic. The cause of the fire is allegedly triggered by electricity short-circuit," he expressed, Saturday (6/28).

Chief of Kalideres Metro Sector Police, Sr. Comr. Dermawan Karo justified the four fire victims in the incident. "Of the 4 victims, one died and three others suffered burns," he explained. 

He added that until now, his side is still investigating the cause of the fire. "The dead victim has been brought to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital," he stated.
