Konsep TOD di Pasar Senen Didukung Dewan

Council Appreciates TOD Concept in Senen Market

City Council supports Senen Market development by using Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept. It is planned will be started in 2018.

It is good to have a settlement above the market and also near the station

Commission D Member, Bestari Barus said TOD concept is able to connect terminal, market, and settlement thus it is very fit to be implemented in Senen Market area.

"We have agreed. We considered it is appropriate to implement TOD concept in there. It is good to have a settlement above the market and also near the station," he said, Tuesday (11/14).

Muara Angke Port Arrangement Proposed with TOD Concept

He hopes TOD can be implemented in other areas, such as Tanah Abang Market which is located near train station.

"We hope TOD could be also implemented in Tanah Abang Market since it is near train station. It will be better if TOD concept could be implemented in all markets to make things easier for people," he added.

Responded to that, PD. Pasar Jaua Director, Arief Nasrudin stated his side is still waiting for Jakarta Governor decision to build Senen Market with TOD concept.

"Its construction may takes quite a long time and could reach up to four years. Thus we want acceleration and ask for governor referrals. Currently it is reviewed," he closed.
