Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) together with central government conducted a comparative study of Transit Oriented Development (TOD) implementation in Japan.

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, in this comparative study, his side visited four cities in Japan which traffic flow categorized from not crowded into most crowded level. Those cities are Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Kokura.

"This concept must be imitated. their concept for 173 years long is always consistent and mutually sustainable in terms of planning," he stated.
He also added that in capital, the first TOD concept will be implemented in Dukuh Atas. Where transportation modes were made in integrated manner, from Commuter Line, Transjakarta Bus, Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), and airport train.
