"They (BUMD) must be independent to develop business. Then they can be creative to increase their dividends," he expressed, Thursday (11/16).

BUMD Requested to Use PMD Effectively

If it was necessary, he added, they could re-file PMD proposals on APBD-P.

"Yet we will see how important it is first," he stated.

Jakarta DPRD's Commission B Member, Prabowo Soenirman added that the PMD provision in 2018 APBD was only for some BUMDs that have assignments such as PT Jakpro and PT MRT Jakarta.

"Jakpro is still focusing on LRT, Velodrome and Equestrian. Talk about MRT, is still under process. After it is done, they will be independent. We hope they will be more professional in future," he stated.

As reporter earlier, the city along with Jakarta DPRD decided not to approve the proposed PMD for five BUMDs in 2018 APBD. Those BUMDs are PD Dharma Jaya, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PT Jakarta Tourisindo, PD Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, and PT Asuransi Bangun Askrida.
