Governor Explains Priority Programs to Respond Council Factions Questions

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan, explained his answer towards City Council factions responses and questions related to City Budget Draft (RAPBD) 2018.

This budget draft is reflecting the priority we have framed, which are about employment, qualified education, and affordable living cost

Towards City Council Factions' question, generally he affirmed that budget draft is reflected on priorities in employment matter, qualified education, and affordable living cost.

"This budget draft is reflecting the priority we have framed, which are about employment, qualified education, and affordable living cost. These things are needed by Jakartans in their daily life," he said, Monday (11/20).

Council Supports Procurement for Decent and Affordable House Program

Related to education, he affirmed that his side is serious to improve education access and quality. Location for implemention has been set to be done in 2018. Location which is categorized as minim economy area will be prioritized.

"This program must be started in selected areas and then spread it to other areas. We will do it gradually," he added.

Related to living cost in Jakarta, Anies admitted will ensure residents' necessities, especially to control staple needs. He will also ensure government role in maintaining food stock.

Besides food, he explained that clothing, housing, and transportation cost are also need to be suppressed in order to provide affordable living cost for citizens.

Especially, he also hoped OK O-Trip program could be realized in 2018.

"We believe council will process it efficiently and effectively thus agreement could be obtained fast and could be executed directly," he closed.
