138 Water Channels in C. Jakarta Cleaned

Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. has dredged 138 water channels. Tens of stationer and mobile pumps are also prepared for rainy season.

"We have cleaned and dredged 138 water channels to increase its capacity," said Dicky Suherlan, Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept. Head, Tuesday (11/21).

According to him, 300 personnel are also deployed to be alert towards flood. Personnel will be divided into several teams  thus can guard 24 hours when heavy rains happened.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta SDA Sub-dept.'s Channels Maintenance Section Head, Boris Karlop Lumbangaol informed, several pumps also have been repaired. There are 54 stationer pumps and 18 mobile pumps located in Central Jakarta.

"All of them in a good condition. This could reduce and prevent five-year cycle flood which is happened in 2017," he closed.
