Petamburan Connecting Channel Is Cleaned

The Petamburan Urban Village's PPSU personnel, Central Jakarta are dredging mud and garbage from the connecting channel (PHB) from RW 01-09. It aims to increase channel capacity.

"The channel crosses RW 01-09, as long as 1 kilometer with wide by 80 centimeters. Most garbage is dominated by plastic in the channel," expressed Parsiyo, Head of Petamburan Urban Village, Wednesday (11/22).

He admitted, whereas in every RT meeting or RW socialization related to any garbage disposal ban is always applied in the region. "It's a routine activity, but there are still residents who throw plastic into the channel," he told.

In the meantime, Mulyanto (40), a citizen of RW 06 appreciates the performance of PPSU personnel. After cleaning process, it is hoped there would be no inundation when the rain pours.

"In the morning, garbage in the channel is always clean, they work well. Every day, they always do cleaning," he closed.
