Sandi Wants Project of Six Underpasses & Flyovers Accelerated

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno has requested Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. to speed up construction of six underpasses and flyovers.

Nevertheless, Sandi warns them to pay attention to safety aspects, especially for workers. The project was also asked not to be done carelessly.

"The safety aspect must be monitored, don't be negligent," he said.

In the meantime, Jakarta Bina Marga Dept. Head, Yusmada Faizal explained, until now, there are no utility obstacles in the construction of such underpasses and flyovers.

"Generally there are no more constraints from the utility. Just how we speed up and streamline the time," he said.

Sandi assured Pancoran Flyover project could be complete by the end of December. Meanwhile, two flyovers of Bintaro Permai and Cipinang, as well as Matraman, Kuningan and Kartini underpasses are targeted to be completed in January-March.

"There is an extension of time indeed, adjusted with the loss of contractor time," he said.
