BUMD Asked to Strengthen Food Tenacity Program

City Council Commission B wants BUMD to strengthen food tenacity based on independence principal as Jakarta Governor and Vice Governor, Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno want.

We want BUMD to run public service well thus food tenacity program can be reached

City Council Commission B Secretary, Darussalam mentioned, food tenacity should be strengthened and maintained, despite BUMD does not have Government Equity Capital (PMD) funds in 2018.

"We want BUMD to run public service well thus food tenacity program can be reached," he expressed at City Council Building, Wednesday (12/6).

Jakarta BUMDs Targeted to Control 30 Percent of Food Availability

He considered Jakarta Governor needs to monitor BUMD intensively in maintaining food price stability.

"Don't let third party control BUMD activities. If it happens, we have no opportunity to do minitoring," he affirmed.

As for the information, Jakarta Governor and Vice Governor were decided not to give PMD for five BUMDs in APDB 2018. Otherwise, BUMDs were asked to be independent in developing their own business.

Those BUMDs are PT. Jakarta Tourisindo, PD. Dharma Jaya, PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PD. Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, and Askrida.
