This Week, Luar Batang Pump House Repair is Targeted to Complete

Luar Batang Pump House repair is mentioned will be finished this week. This house pump is located on Jalan Luar Batang 5, RW 01, Penjaringan Urban Village, Penjaringan Sub-district, North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad said the pipe has been rusted and perforated. It is feared will reduce its performance in handling inundation and flood.

"I hope this repair will be finished soon. We target it to complete this week because we have entered rainy season now," he expressed while surveying Luar Batang Pump House, Monday (12/18).

Inundation in Jakarta Is Resolved Quickly

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Santo added, two weeks ago his side has started this repair.

"Currently we are waiting for replacement pipe from manufacturer. Besides pipe, stop starter on the panel is also weakened thus need to be replaced," he explained.

He said, that pipe is used to dispose water and has around 10 meters long with 80 centimeters.

"There are two portable pumps at Luar Batang Pump House. Each of them has 500 liters and 100 liters capacities per second. The 100 liters pipe is used to pump mud," he mentioned.
