Jakarta Transportation Dept. will intensify supervision on tour boat operational in new year weekend 2018.

Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept. Deputy Head, Sigit Wijatmoko informed, monitoring posts have been placed during new year weekends. His side will also intensify the patrol.
"In Seribu Islands, we have opened monitoring post and enhanced ourselves after Zahro Express case last year," he mentioned, Thursday (12/28).
Ferry Boat Owner Must Provide Safety ToolsAccording to him, his side will be more selective in issuing sailing license for every boat types. Then, all passengers should use life jacket during the trip.
"Our SOP requires all passengers to use life jacket," he affirmed.
Regarding patrol, his side will get three boats from Transportation Ministry (Kemenhub). Patrol is started from December 22, 2017-January 2, 2018.
"Patrol boat will be mobile to remind people to stay safe," he said.
