Governor Inaugurates Senen Market Block III Operational

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan inaugurated Senen Market Block III operational, Central Jakarta, Friday (12/29). Besides, his side also symbolically inaugurated four traditional markets; Sinar Market, Bidadari Market, Cawang Kavling Market, and Karet Belakang Market (Karbela); which are built this year.

He hopes traditional markets in Jakarta could be more efficient thus transaction cost is cheaper. According to him, sold products will be cheaper if cost taken by seller and buyer is suppressed.

"One of Jakartan's needs is affordable price on basic needs. We hope this could be a commercial market that has professional management and sided with citizen," he stated.

Next Year, Senen Market's Block VI Revitalized

He also wants these markets' cleanliness could be maintained, thus people will enjoy to shop for several times.

PD. Pasar Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin explained, Senen Market Block III was built above 17,086 square meters with 13,582 square meters building area. This building was built in 7 floors and accommodates 3,531 kiosks.

In this new location, this market also has parking lot with capacity 340 vehicles. It was built according to Indonesian National Standard (SNI) which is equipped with fire sprinkles, water hydrant, and CCTV.

"Other four markets building which are symbolically inaugurated, were built using regional equity f unds," he informed.
