Hundreds of Campaign Attributes in Central Jakarta Lowered

The existence of president and vice president candidates campaign attributes that are rampant in Central Jakarta is making the municipality chaotic. Besides not having permit, those attributes are also ruining city’s scenery and beauty. To resolve the condition, local Satpol PP takes action controlling those campaign attributes.

“40 personnel are dispatched to control campaign attributes installed in some protocol roads. Since yesterday, hundreds of president and vice president candidates campaign attributes have been lowered,” stated Head of Central Jakarta Satpol PP, Yadi Rusmayadi, Friday (7/4).

Before holding the operation, Rusmayadi told that his party has informed the General Election Commission (KPU) and General Election Monitoring Committee (Panwaslu) to instruct related political parties and winning team of president and vice president candidates to lower their attributes themselves and no longer install campaign attributes in protocol roads.

“KPU and Panwaslu have sent letter to political parties and winning team of president and vice president candidates. But since there was no action from them, Panwaslu sent letter to us, recommending us to lower those campaign attributes. The operation is led by KPU and Panwaslu, we’re only assisting,” he uttered.
