Once Again, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan affirmed luxury car owners in Jakarta to pay their car tax arrears.

"I remind all car owners who haven't pay taxes to pay it immediately. We announce it last Friday thus they can pay it on Monday. It's silly, you have luxury car but can't pay taxes," he stated, Sunday (1/14).

His side found some owners who claim not having luxury cars anymore or already sold it but their names are still written in vehicle ownership documents.

"So the owners haven't transfer their vehicle ownership. They should report it to BPRD and Polda thus documents are blocked and will not use former owner's name," he added.

He continued, tax arrears are still sent to names written in vehicle ownership documents.

"As long as they don't report any transfer on vehicle ownership, government is still assuming those names are the vehicle owners," he conveyed.
