Until Dec 23, Vehicle Tax Fines Deleted Temporarily

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan announces deletion on vehicle tax (PKB) administration sanction and vehicle-ownership transfer fees (BBNKB). This policy is effective from November 30 to December 23.

"We hope all taxpayers fulfill their obligations as soon as possible. Because we will intensify joint vehicle control," he said, Wednesday (11/29).

He explained, vehicle owners who haven't pay PKB and BBNKB will be freed from fines during this fines deletion period. In regulation, delay on monthly payment will be fined two percent with cumulative effect.

City will Reenact Vehicle Tax Sanction Deletion

Based on Jakarta Taxation and Local Retribution Board (BPRD) data, there are three million of seven million two and three-wheeled vehicle owners who haven't pay tax by the end of November. While there are 30 percent of four-wheeled vehicle owners who haven't pay the tax from total 2.3 million vehicles.

"In calculation, the actual tax that could be received is around Rp 8.6 trillion, but Rp 1.7 trillion is not paid yet," he conveyed.

He added, his side and police will intensify joint control on vehicles who have not paid tax until the end of December.
