The connecting channel dredging on Jalan Kesehatan, Gambir, finally has been completed. It is hoped able to increase channel capacity.

Boris Karlop Lumbangaol, Section Head of Channel Maintenance and Care, Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. said, total channel dredged is up to 500 meters. "We dredge 350 meters using excavator and 150 meters using manual tool, as its location is under bridge," he expressed, Friday (1/19).
His sub-dept. has difficulties to carry out dredging, as it is hampered by tree and utility network. Thus dredging process is done carefully.
