Collapsed LRT Box Girder Victims Hospitalized

Five victims of collapsed Light Rail Transit (LRT) box girder on Jl. Kayu Putih, Pulogadung, East Jakarta have been hospitalized at Columbia Asia Hospital, Pulomas. All victims suffered minor injuries.

When incident occurred, those victims were on top of it and fell. There is no fatality in this incident

"We deployed five personnel for evacuation. When incident occurred, those victims were on top of it and fell. There is no fatality in this incident," said Gatot Sulaiman, Head Section of East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept's Fire and Rescue, Monday (1/21).

Those five victims are Rois Julianto (27), resident of RT 15/06 Cengkareng Timur, West Jakarta who got scratches on left elbow; Abdul Mupid (30), resident of RT 05/03 Kampung Cileduk, Cirebon, West Java who suffered sprained leg.

LRT Phase I Project Has Reached 43.14 Percent

Then Wahyudin (20), resident of RT 06/02 Kaplongan, Indramayu, West Java whose leg got bruise. Jamaludin (27), resident of RT 06/02 Kaplongan, Indramayu, West Java who got injuries in forehead and mouth.

Last is Ahmad Kumaedi (22), resident of RT 10/03, Kaplongan, Indramayu, West Java who got injury in his left chest.

Meanwhile, Pulogadung Section Police Kanit Reskrim, AKP Tual Napitupulu said his side has examined some witnesses for investigation regarding collapsed box girder between pillar P28 and P29.

"We are still investigating the cause. We will explain it immediately after we got information from witnesses," he stated.

Based on beritajakarta.id monitoring, currently collapsed box girder is covered by tarpaulins. Police line is also installed on the scene.
