Vice Gov. Opens Integrated Transportation System Workshop

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno opens "Realizing Integrated Urban Transportation System: A Lesson from MTR Hongkong Towards The Inception of Jakarta Transport Academy" workshop.

This will be an early preparation towards Jakarta Transport Academy establishment

According to him, this workshop purpose is to learn from Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept implementation.

"This will be an early preparation towards Jakarta Transport Academy establishment," he mentioned, City Hall, Thursday (2/1).

Here is DTKJ Recommendation to Overcome Jam

He explained, through cooperation with Hongkong MTR, his side has committed to develop and add human resources capacity in PT. Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta.

"I hope support to establish MRT Jakarta Academy could be realized soon," he expressed.

According to him, MRT existence could cultivate citizen habits in using public transportation.

"We need to socialize and educate citizens continuously," he said.

He conveyed, many things can be learned from Hongkong MTR regarding urban transportation role in changing public's socio-cultural aspect.

"We can learn that there is public mindset changing. Not only implementation in technology and operational aspects," he expressed.
