Cipinang Melayu Settlements Inundated

Sunter River had overflowed and inundated RW 03 and 04, Cipinang Melayu Urban Village, Makasar, East Jakarta. At 7.30 AM, inundation reached 40-60 centimeters high.

Around 200 houses at RW 03 and 04 were inundated

RW 03 Cipinang Melayu Head, Muchtar Usman informed, Sunter River started to inundate to settlements around 3 AM.

"Water started to overflow around 3 AM. It inundated road for 60 centimeters high. Resident houses were also inundated for 40 centimeters," he added, Monday (2/5).

Residents aren't evacuated yet though their houses have been inundated.

Cipinang Melayu Urban Village Head, Syahrul Munir said, around 200 houses at RW 03 and 04 were inundated.

" Around 200 houses at RW 03 and 04 were inundated . Until now, there were no residents evacuated. But we remind them to be more aware in this situation," he stated.

His side deployed 20 PPSU personnel to assist residents in evacuating residents belongings and vehicles to safer places.
