Cakung Timur Inundation Receded

Inundation which affected RW 09 and 10, Cakung Timur, Cakung, East Jakarta began to recede. It was 70 cm before, but at 12.30 PM it receded totally.

Around 12.30 PM, inundation had receded since we use five mobile pumps at once

Cakung Timur Urban Village, Sukarya mentioned, five pumps were deployed to handle inundation. One unit was from East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat), two units were from East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. and two others from near private developer. 

"Around 12.30 PM, inundation had receded since we use five mobile pumps at once," he informed, Monday (2/5).

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept.'s Fire Control and Rescue Section Head, Gatot Sulaiman said, his team's pump was prepared on the location since 8 AM. This pump with 500 liters per second capacity is operated by six personnel. It sucked and threw the water into Jakarta Garden City retention basin.

"We have no problem in water suctioning. But it took more time because flooded areas were quite large," he added.
