Governor Reminds Residents Not to Throw Trash to River

"We deploy all vehicles, no one in office. Especially we deploy 40 different types of truck, two units of spider truck and one long arm excavator to stand by from 5 PM in Kampung Melayu," he informed on Jalan KH Abdulah Syafe'i, Tuesday (2/6) dawn.

He explained, transported trash will be taken to Bantar Gebang. His side has prepared zone for temporary dumpsite in Bantar Gebang to accommodate trash from Ciliwung River for trash transport process acceleration.

"There is a special spot in Bantar Gebang for this trash so we don't need to queue. We have split our tasks and ready to implement it," he said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta LH Dept. Deputy Head, Ali Maulana Hakim stated, his side will transport Ciliwung River trash non-stop until it is cleared.

"Our problem is the cable and traffic jam, but three sides also helped us. We will keep transport another spot of trashes," he affirmed.
