East Jakarta Fire andling and Rescue Sub-dept. has alerted two pump trucks to optimize the cleaning process on Jalan Jatinegara Barat, Kampung Melayu, Jatinegara, Wednesday (2/7). The receding puddles have caused mud and littering some of the roads.

"We clean the mud today. The mud is pushed into the connecting channel. Even the channel is also pushed not to clog," said Gatot Sulaiman, Section Head of East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept.

Cleaning, he stated, takes up to 200 meters length from Tongtek Bridge until in front of SPBU. "Previously, we planned to do it from exit door of Jatinegara Market, but there were still disaster posts and vehicles owned by locals," he said.
