Flood Still Soaking Bukit Duri

Flood that happens since last Friday (3/20), still soaking hundreds of residents’ homes that spread in 5 RTs, RW 10, Jalan Kampung Melayu Kecil, Bukit Duri, Tebet, South Jakarta, until this Monday (3/23).

Flood was receded on Sunday morning, but rose again at night due to rain on Sunday afternoon

Nasikin (30), one of residents, RT 12/10 expressed his area is still inundated since last Friday (3/20). “Flood was receded on Sunday morning, but rose again at night due to rain on Sunday afternoon,” he told.

According to him, the water volume in Ciliwung River is quickly rising due to floodwaters from Bogor. Then the river overflowed and inundated houses. “I guess, the rain firstly poured Bogor. Although the rainfall intensity is small, but water from Ciliwung River quickly overflowed and hit citizen houses,” he expressed.

Receding Floods in Pejagalan Already Noticeable

Relaying on beritajakarta.com's data, although the water level is reaching 30 centimeters, some citizens are still continuing their activities as usual. But it has stopped the learning and teaching activities (KBM) in the People Foundation Elementary School.

So far, there has been no evacuation due to the water has not been receded. “The water level on the riverbank has touched 2 meters,” he uttered.
