Six heavy equipment belong to East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. have been operated to dredge mud and water hyacinth in East Flood Canal (KBT). It is focused on the convex area of Ujung Menteng, Cakung.

According to him, the current depth is only about three meters and will be dredged up to seven meters depth. The width of the dredged area is about 250 x 400 square meters. The work is targeted to be completed within six months.
"Our main obstacle is the weather change. That's why, at the location, the water level is high," he said.
