ERP Construction will Be Synced with MRT

Jakarta Transportation Dept. (Dishub) targets to apply Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) next year.

We will sync the first phase of ERP with Jakarta MRT

ERP infrastructure construction will be synced with Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project.

Jakarta Dishub Head, Andri Yansyah said, MRT project construction will be divided in two phases. First, it will be focused from Bundaran Senayan to Bundaran Hotel Indonesia (HI).

ERP Auction Targeted to Complete in October

"Jakarta MRT is scheduled to operate in March 2019. We will sync the first phase of ERP with Jakarta MRT," he mentioned, Wednesday (2/14).

Through syncing, he continued, ERP system construction will be changed which is previously from Jalan Sudirman and Rasuna Said into Bundaran HI-Senayan and Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat.

"We are not constructing it from north to south as former plan, but from south to north because it will be synced with MRT," he explained.

He admitted, his side still can't determine ERP fee yet. But, it will be fluctuate. He mentioned, ERP fee will be higher in rush hour.

"Because ERP is not only to increase PAD, but also to make it balance between road capacity and vehicles volume," he added.
