DTKJ Wants ERP to Be Applied This Year

Jakarta Transportation Council (DTKJ) wants Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) to be applied in the capital this year.
That's why we want ERP to be applied soon
It is aimed to parse traffic jam, as the growth rate of motor vehicles reaches 8.12 percent per year.
DTKJ Suggested the Use of Single Trip Public Transportation"That's why we want ERP to be applied soon," expressed Iskandar Abubakar, Head of DTKJ, Jati Baru Technical Dept., Central Jakarta,Thursday (1/25).
Accorsing to him, ERP system is the right policy to offset the low interest of citizens using transportation in addition to the high growth of private vehicles.
With ERP, he assessed, people will think twice to get into the city by using private vehicles. Considering, access roads crossed by them have been applied paid system.
"I think this system is effective. Because, when we bill with the price applied there, they will think twice," he stated.
