There were no casualties, but they suffered a loss of about Rp 300 million

A house on Jalan Batu Ampar, RT 08/04, Batu Ampar Urban Village, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, caught fire today, Tuesday (2/20). It was allegedly triggered by electricity short-circuit.

Gatot Sulaiman, Section Head of East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Sub-dept. said that fire that hit the house owned by Abdullah (60) broke out at around 11.30.

At that time, the owner of the house with his wife was in the house. However, both managed to escape. "There were no casualties, but they suffered a loss of about Rp 300 million," he expressed, Tuesday (2/20).

After getting fire report, nine fire trucks were immediately deploying to the field and managed to put out the flames within 30 minutes. Thus far the case has been handed over to Kramat Jati Sector Police.
