Kota Tua Arrangement Divided Into Three Phases

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to arrange the Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta in three phases namely, short, medium, and long-term.

We will meet regularly once a week to conduct an evaluation

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno expressed, short-term arrangement could begin this month. Eventually, the Transportation Dept., PT Transjakarta, and Bina Marga Dept. will finalize the arrangement plan in accordance with their respective duties.

"Medium-term arrangement should be completed this year. Then for long-term, it must join the consortium, we will push it next year," he expressed, after he held a meeting about arrangement plan of Kota Tua, at City Hall, Wednesday (3/7).

Sandi Wants Kota Tua Restoration to Be Realized Soon

He explained, division of work on the arrangement of Kota Tua area is including inventory of Jakarta Provincial Government assets, illegal building data collection around Intan Urban Park, road plan, and revitalization of City's assets on Jalan Kali Besar Timur, Jalan Tongkol and Jalan Pasar Ikan.

"We will meet regularly once a week to conduct an evaluation," he said.

He instructed related regional working units (SKPD) to pay attention to the alignment to the actors of micro, small and medium enterprises (UMKM) when conducting the arrangement in Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta.

"This arrangement should also be able to bring job creation impacts and improve tourism sector, especially approaching the Asian Games XVIII," he stated.
