Six Markets in South Jakarta Are Safe From Harmful Substances

All is safe and worth consuming. Nevertheless, supervision will continue to do

The officers of South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. have 366 samples of food product from six markets in South Jakarta 

As a matter of fact, those samples are free from harmful substances.

Food Samples in Four Markets in C. Jakarta Examined

South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept. Head, Wachyuni disclosed that integrated food monitoring is the first time this year. There are six locations under supervision, namely four traditional markets, one coaching location (lokbin) and one modern market.

"All is safe and worth consuming. Nevertheless, supervision will continue to do," he expressed, in Cilandak, Thursday (3/8).

Of 366 samples, 179 samples are fishery products, 47 samples are farm products and 140 samples are agricultural products.

"We will continue to foster traders to sell food products are safe for consumption," he stressed.

This year, around 29 markets will be supervised with details 22 traditional markets, 6 supermarkets and 1 lokbin.

"It's intensified up to the forthcoming December," he stated.
