Electricity will Be Injected to 29 Islands in Seribu Islands

The City-owned utility company Jakarta Propertindo prioritizes 29 islands for electricity in order to improve the tourism sector in Seribu Islands.

Hence we invite the investors, either it is in domestic and abroad to invest on 29 islands

PT Jakarta Propertindo President Director, Chairul Hakim said, 16 islands inhabited by the population have electricity, yet the other 29 islands in the form of residence resorts have no electricity, like Sebira Island, Harapan Island, Matahari Island and Sepa Island.

"Hence we invite the investors, either it is in domestic and abroad to invest on 29 islands," he expressed, Friday (3/16).

He explained, the tourism sector in Seribu Islands should be supported by electricity, considering all this time the existing resorts on 29 islands still use generators.

It is planned there will be the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with all institutions on March 20, 2018.

"This is to ask for input from related units about what technology is suitable to be applied, whether it is renewable energy or utilizing the flow from PLN," he said.
