Governor Directly Assists Trash Cleaning in Muara Angke

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan directly assisted trash cleaning at Mangrove Forest, Pluit Urban Village, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, on Monday (3/19).

Since yesterday, we have cleaned around 50 tons of garbage

Based on beritajakarta monitoring, after arrived at the location, Anies immediately joined 400 joint personnel from Water UPK, TNI and PPSU to clean up trash on the coast.

Trash Pilling in Muara Angke Mangrove Forest Area Cleaned

He mentioned, Jakarta Provincial Government through Environment Dept. gives a fast response to handle and clean up piles of garbage. "Since yesterday, we have cleaned around 50 tons of garbage," he stated.

He explained, garbage piles locations are quite difficult to be reached. But personnel tried optimally to clean the area from trash immediately. "There are few obstacles in dredging the garbage due to difficult vehicle access for heavy equipment and carrier vehicles," he added.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Environment Dept. Deputy Head, Ali Maulana Hakim said, his side will comprehensively clean the area from trash. "We target to clean it from trash in a week," he stated.
