City will Plant More Mangroves in North Jakarta Coast Areas

Jakarta Provincial Government will plant more mangroves in the coast areas of North Jakarta.

2,000 mangroves will be planted next Saturday at Marunda Beach, Cilincing, North Jakarta

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno mentioned, mangrove planting will involve various communities and private sides.

"According to plan, 145 thousand mangroves will be planted. 2,000 mangroves will be planted next Saturday at Marunda Beach, Cilincing, North Jakarta," he stated at City Hall, Monday (3/19).

Meanwhile, North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad added, mangrove planting will be held gradually and it will be also done in priority areas thus it can really provide benefits to the environment and society.

"Not only in Marunda coast, but we also want to plant mangrove near Rumah Si Pitung or Al Alam Mosque," he conveyed.
