City Determined to Minimize Poverty Case

City Provincial Government along with the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction (TNP2K) and Bank Indonesia were committed to minimize poverty from 3.78 to 2.78 percent in the next five years. This grand agenda was called "The Magic One Percent".

Jakarta Deputy Governor, Sandiaga Uno expressed, programs and interventions undertaken by the city and the central government in minimizing poverty should be targeted.

With TNP2K, City Gears Up to Suppress Poverty in Jakarta

"It's required similarity and validity of data. This is our focus," he disclosed, after attending the Coordination Meeting (rakor) about Poverty Handling, at the office of Bank Indonesia, Jalan Juanda, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (3/27).

He explained, the validity of data could be done through an Independent Update Mechanism (MPM) in cooperation with TNP2K.

"This data must be a source or reference for programs launched by the city," he expressed.

In the rakor, the evaluation of poverty reduction program was also discussed, including assistance and monitoring, and the availability and access of people towards staple food ahead of Ramadan.

"Besides macro intervention, we choose some in accordance with the proposal," he uttered.
