Matraman Underpass will Be Tested Next Tuesday

Currently Matraman Underpass, East Jakarta, is on completion phase. It is planned to be tested on Tuesday (4/10).

We just need to install traffic signs and traffic engineering signs

"There are still several things need to be done. Such as pump house installation and traffic engineering completion," explained Andreas Eman, Head Section of East Jakarta Traffic Sub-dept.'s Traffic, Saturday (4/7).

In traffic engineering, he continued, his side hasn't decided yet whether traffic from Jalan Proklamasi to Matraman and vice versa will be applied one-way or two-way system as before.

Commission D Observes Matraman Underpass Construction

Actually, vehicles from Jalan Proklamasi to Jalan Matraman Raya will be directed to go through Matraman Underpass since on the middle of road, it will be divided into two directions.

Right lane leads to Jalan Raya Matraman through Mapolsek Matraman. While straight lane from Jalan Proklamasi to Jalan Pramuka will pass through Pramuka SPBU.

Meanwhile, vehicles from Jalan Raya Matraman towards Jalan Raya Salemba or vice versa are still using the old route.

"Generally, underpass infrastructure construction is completed. We just need to install traffic signs and traffic engineering signs," he said.
