Joint Personnel Gets Routine Duty During Car Free Day

Jakarta Provincial Government has instructed joint personnel of SKPDs to create a sense of security and safety for the locals who want to participate in Car Free Day at Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta.

One of our duties during Car Free Day is applying traffic engineering 

Before on duty, hundreds of personnel of Transportation Dept., Satpol PP, Environment Dept., Social Dept., KUKMP Dept., SKPD and other related units incorporated in the Car Free Day work team would firstly conduct a ceremony on the west side of National Monument (Monas).

Kelik Setiawan, Section Head of Arrangement and Scouting, Jakarta Transportation Dept. said, Transportation Dept. personnel will be placed at points that need arrangement on two roads of Jalan Sudirman-MH Thamrin.

"One of our duties during Car Free Day is applying traffic engineering in connection with road closure at Car Free Day location, including, in coordination with Polda Metro Jaya," he said, Sunday (4/8).

He explained, along with all SKPDs, they would routinely hold coordination meeting and evaluation every week. Thus, implementation of Gubernatorial Regulation No. 12/2016 on Car Free Day can run well.

"Periodically, the evaluation results of Car Free Day, including air quality measurement submitted to Mr. Governor through the City Secretary," he stated.
